Bradley Cimino L.Ac DNBAo

Bradley Cimino L.Ac graduated from Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, CA with a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and special emphasis on acupuncture and pain management. Looking to experience the medicine first-hand, Bradley traveled to China where he studied orthopedic acupuncture and completed an externship program through Zhe Jiang University in Hang Zhou, China.
After becoming licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine by the state of California, Bradley continued his studies and received a board certification in orthopedic acupuncture (DNBAO) through Lerner Education in Los Angeles, CA.
In 2006, moving back to his hometown of Sacramento, Bradley established ProActive Acupuncture: Center for Asian Healing Arts. His offices are located in Midtown Sacramento and Roseville. He also opened Chinese Medical Arts, a private office located near Carmichael that allows additional accessibility for his patients.
Most recent, Bradley was appointed by the governor of California as a member of the Acupuncture Board. A former professor at the University of East West Medicine, Bradley enjoys teaching both students and patients, and spreading health and wellness to the community.
Laura Oglesby L.Ac

Laura Oglesby L.Ac received a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Southwest Acupuncture College in New Mexico with special emphasis on women’s health, internal medicine, and pain management. With an additional background in Biology from her undergraduate studies at Kansas State University, Laura began practicing acupuncture in 2007 at the Integrative Medicine Center in Fairhope, Alabama where she became a leading Women’s health specialist.
Laura then came out West to experience the great outdoors of North Tahoe where she practiced acupuncture at a multidisciplinary clinic. In 2012, she relocated to Sacramento and joined ProActive Acupuncture. She currently enjoys a general acupuncture and herbal medicine practice with special emphasis in internal medicine, pain management, and Women’s health.
JustiN Bovert L.Ac

Justin Bovert L.Ac received a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California with a special emphasis on sports medicine and pain management. He also completed an internship through Janus Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center and became board certified in the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA).
Prior to becoming licensed by the State of California to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine, Justin was an elementary school teacher here in Sacramento. After his studies, he returned and joined ProActive Acupuncture where he became director and leading practitioner of the workers compensation department and also specializes in pain management and athletic injuries.
Justin enjoys an active lifestyle full of cycling, rock climbing, and sailing, and has been utilizing natural and alternative medicines for his own health for many years. With his expertise in Chinese medicine and his background in teaching, Justin often incorporates patient education, including lifestyle, nutrition, and herbal recommendations combined with acupuncture treatment to help his patients effectively reach their healing potential.
Nina francesconi L.AC

Nina Francesconi L.Ac obtained a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA. She focused on orthopedics, injuries, and pain management. Nina participated in an integrative medicine residency at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA where she studied both Eastern and Western Medicine alongside MDs and Acupuncturists. Nina also holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York in Albany, NY.
Here at ProActive Acupuncture, Nina works with a diverse patient population in the areas of general medicine, pain management, orthopedic injuries, mental health, and workers compensation. She believes that patients get the most from their healthcare when they are active participants, and she incorporates lifestyle and diet modifications into treatment plans.
After experiencing acupuncture first as a patient, Nina was inspired to help others the way she had been helped. Originally from New York, she relocated to California to pursue Chinese Medicine and to enjoy more of the great outdoors. Nina leads an active lifestyle of yoga, biking, skiing, and surfing and wants to help others with their health so that they can get back to the things they enjoy.
Lila Bigelsen L.AC

Lila Bigelsen L.Ac graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA with both a Master’s degree and Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Her specialties include: internal medicine, mental-emotional health, pain management, integrative medicine, and is also board certified in facial rejuvenation.
Lila grew up in a family of medicine. Her father, a medical doctor, practiced Western Medicine, but also explored Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Osteopathic medicine. With her family’s exposure and influence of integrative medicine, Lila was encouraged to pursue her own path of healing and she soon discovered Acupuncture. She received an under graduate degree in psychology and with the understanding of the connection between the mind and body, Chinese Medicine became a natural fit.
Here at ProActive Acupuncture, Lila has a general practice treating many different conditions including: pain management, mental-emotional health, internal medicine and facial rejuvenation. Her understanding and compassion for health and wellness along with her integrative approach to medicine, offers patient’s a great opportunity to experience the many benefits of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Golden Yung L.Ac received a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from University of EastWest Medicine in Sunnyvale, CA. with special emphasis on acupuncture, internal medicine, and pain management.
Born in the United States, he was given the special name “Golden” by his parents because of the city in which he was born, San Francisco (Golden Mountain). At a young age, his parents moved back to Taiwan to be closer to family and to raise their children with traditional culture. As a teenager Golden moved back to California and began his college studies including Chinese Medical School.
Golden was born into a family of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and his mother, now in her seventies, continues to practice acupuncture today. With her guidance and influence, he was encouraged to pursue his own path of medicine. Having the experience of both East and West culture and with a family lineage of medicine, Golden is able to communicate and help both English speaking and Chinese speaking patients. His passion for helping others, along with his unique upbringing provides Golden with additional insight and knowledge that he utilizes to teach and educate his patients.
After practicing acupuncture in the Bay Area for many years, Golden relocated to Sacramento to join the ProActive Acupuncture family hoping to further his career,continue to help his patients achieve better health and to also provide his own young family the best life possible.
