Home Visits

Acupuncture requires very little equipment to provide effective treatments, which makes it very useful in providing home care to patients.  In fact, traditional Chinese medical doctors where called barefoot doctors, because they traveled the countryside by foot from village to village providing medical care for the people. Giving rise to an aspect of medicine known as preventative care these doctors where responsible for keeping the village healthy and free from disease.

Following tradition, ProActive Acupuncture offers home visits which are available upon request and are commonly scheduled after business hours or on weekends.  This service is especially useful for patients who are bedridden due to serious illness or who are unable to comfortably make an office visit.  Others simply find the service to be a luxury and enjoy the idea of being treated in the privacy of their own home.
